Tatian is an everyday luxury and lifestyle brand fusing European tailoring with the vibrant spirit of Latin America. We reinterpret formalwear through a cultural and ecological lens, inspired by the region’s landscapes, national parks, and endangered species.

Each collection spotlights a different area or ecological reserve, honoring its unique biodiversity, endangered species, and cultural heritage, often overlooked or forgotten.

Every piece is (hecho con amor) crafted with love, intention, soul, and a deep respect for the planet through sustainable practices. A portion of the proceeds supports the preservation of the ecosystem that inspired it, transforming each garment into a living tribute.

How It Began

I’ve always been fascinated by thoughtful design and pattern work. I put a lot of love and intention into everything I create, and when I was making a cutting board for my mom’s birthday, I thought: what better phrase to engrave than Hecho Con Amor. My family is Colombian, and my mom raised me with the values of spreading love and making a positive impact.

My passion for sustainability has also guided much of my work. I’ve spent years researching ways to make design more responsible, drawing inspiration from companies like Patagonia. Combining my Latin roots with a drive to build not just a brand but a movement, I began weaving “Hecho Con Amor” into my projects as a way to connect culture, sustainability, and love.

Prototyping

Below are some of the first samples and prototypes I created. This helped me begin to market and promote the brand.

Wanting to see how my designs looked on clothing without the high costs or upfront investment, I decided to start screen-printing myself. I began with a simple kit from Amazon and used a vinyl cutter to create the designs. While this method takes more time, it lets me reuse the same screen for multiple prints, saving the expense of constantly buying new ones. With just a $30 kit, I was able to produce over 50 pieces of clothing featuring more than 15 different designs, an approach that proved both practical and effective.

Collection #1 - Sierra

Our debut collection is inspired by Tayrona National Natural Park and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, two of the most sacred and biodiverse regions of Colombia. These lands are home not only to endangered species and breathtaking landscapes but also to Indigenous communities whose cultural heritage is deeply connected to the earth.

Through each garment, we pay tribute to the vibrant ecosystems, ancestral craftsmanship, and spiritual symbolism rooted in this territory. The colors, textures, and patterns draw from the jungle, the mountains, and the sea, telling a story of connection, memory, and preservation.
